Michele Bachmann takes on heckler in Iowa

This was a headline somewhere and I love it.

I was talking to a couple of republicans yesterday, the down and out sort of super wealthy republicans are feel left out from politics lately. They could only come up with Bachmann as a viable candidate to beat Obama in 2012.

Now, think about that for a second. There I was, hanging out with my new republican friends, talking politics and possibilities and the very best they could come up with for beating the down and out Obama is Michelle Bachmann. I would say she is the white trash Sarah Palin, but Sarah Palin is the white trash Sarah Palin.

My republican friends are positive Bachmann is real. One of them, a multi-gajillionaire said he has met the congresswoman a couple of times, she is smart as a whip he said. Which is nice, if you want to elect a smart whip for president.

The republicans are following the same path that many democrats have done over my life time. Find a super weak and beatable president and then run the least likely to win candidate possible. Reagan second term, showing the effects of dementia and appearing strangely incoherent, democrats run Walter Mondale. Reagan wins. GW Bush, filled with lies about war, torture and an exploding deficit, so the democrats send out Johnny Kerry, a blow dried intellectual and he gets trounced.

The republicans have done this too. Want to beat Blow Job Bill Clinton? How about Viagra popping Bob Dole?

So, while I am as upset with the wimpy nature of President Obama, if the republicans are intent on losing all 50 states to him in 2012, Michelle Bachmann would fit the bill, perfectly. I could care less what my new republican friends say about her, "but she's smart" or "but shes a lawyer" or "but she's white."

She is nutty, insane and a teabagger, which I always thought she was, but now she is out of the closet.

Republicans, mark my word, if you are stupid enough to take Bachmann seriously, or Palin for that matter, you may as well strap in for another 4 years of teleprompter speeches and Obama birth certificate silliness.
